Community Hub Activities: Connecting and Empowering Through Hybrid Collaboration
The SKILLS4Water Community Hub served as a dynamic digital ecosystem that connected participants, trainers, and stakeholders throughout the Innovative Training Programme. Using a hybrid approach, the hub integrated Howspace for interactive learning, engagement and reflection, Microsoft Teams for structured communication and resource sharing, and the Skills4Water website for public engagement and documentation. This multi-platform setup enabled continuous collaboration across borders and institutions.
On Howspace, participants engaged in asynchronous discussions, shared reflections, and co-created insights during and between training weeks. The platform supported peer-to-peer learning, feedback loops, and visual storytelling, enhancing the impact of sessions on topics such as leadership, conflict management, and intercultural communication. Meanwhile, Microsoft Teams functioned as the operational backbone—hosting files, agendas, and real-time updates, while facilitating coordination among trainers and participants.
The Skills4Water website acted as the central public-facing portal, showcasing programme milestones, evaluation results, and deliverables. It also linked to the Community Hub activities, allowing broader audiences to explore the outcomes and scale-up opportunities. Together, these platforms created a cohesive and inclusive learning environment that extended beyond physical training weeks, fostering a resilient and engaged community of young water professionals.
